Fruit Ninja gets more Game Center

fngc8348372724

Hooray! It’s been only a couple of weeks since we launched Fruit Ninja with the new Game Center multiplayer mode, and today we’re following up with the addition of leaderboards and achievements. It’s a much-requested feature, so as per usual we’re happy to provide.

General requirements for Game Center require an iPhone 3GS / iTouch 2G or above, and iOS 4.1. Simply download the update via the App Store, load up the game and you will be able to log in via your Game Center account. We’ve already had tens of thousands of players jump online and post their high scores to the GC leaderboard, but there’s still plenty more to come – so now’s your chance to try and snag one of the top spots. Good luck, young ninja apprentice!

How odd, the Openfeint achievements didn’t carry over to Game Center. But I can’t unlock the achievements again. What’s going on?

Both zen and classic ‘Best’ scores do not carry over to Game Center leaderboards for all time high scores. Please fix!

    Hi guys

If you are having troubles with achievements not carrying over and not able to unlock achievements its actually a bug in OpenFeint. It has been fixed and will be in the next update. In the mean time, if you want to unlock the achievements, go to the dojo, switch it over to using OpenFeint. Go back to the Main Menu, and open up the OpenFeint dashboard. Log out of OpenFeint. Then close down Fruit Ninja. When you run Fruit ninja next, it will update all your Achivements in Game Center. You can now log back into OpenFeint.

    Have Fun :)

I friend downloaded Fruit Ninja, but started in feint mode. They are not able to get into a Game Center mode which would allow them to play in multi-player mode. Is there a set way to change over?

Has anyone else noticed sluggish performance when you first start a game and fruitninja is trying to connect to gamecenter? I am pretty sure it’s cause by gamecenter since the slowdown is worst when I am in a dead cell zone. Performance returns to normal after the welcome to gamecenter notification pops up at the top of the screen. Is gamecenter itself to be blamed? Any way to disable gamecenter temporarily?

It won’t let me change to GameCenter, is it because Im using an iPad?
